Course Description:
The course provides training for all maritime personnel, with exception of the Ship Security Officer, who is responsible for specific security tasks. The training covers modules which include, Maintaining conditions set out in a Ship Security Plan, Recognition of Security Risk and Threats, Undertaking Regular Security Inspections of the Ship and Proper usage of Security Equipment and Systems.
Prerequisite:
There are no specific prerequisites for this course, however the following are required from the trainees;
• Able to read, write , and understand English.
•Identification Card (ID) or Dischard Book or International Passport
•One (1) recent passport photograph
Duration:
The course duration is one (1) day.
Certification:
On successful completion of the course and examination, trainee will receive a Security Training for Seafarer with DSD certificate issued under the Authority of Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA).
