Course Description:
This course is an advanced First Aid course. The course provides fundamental basics of medical training to teach trainees how to effectively attend to injured crew members at place of work or on-board vessel. The course covers demonstration of competency in CPR, Splinting, Wound Dressing, Control Bleeding and a host of additional ‘Basic First Aid Measures needed to perform the duties of the first response person in a medical emergency.
Prerequisite:
There are no specific prerequisites for this course, however the following are required from the trainees;
• Medical Certificate
•Identification Card (ID) or Dischard Book or International Passport
•One (1) recent passport photograph
Duration:
The course duration is two (2) days
Certification:
After successful completion of the course and examination, trainee will receive a Medical First Aid certificate issued under the Authority of Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA)
